Communications and Graphic Design Associate

Education

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is required; an equivalent combination of education, professional experience, freelance work, internships, or demonstrated portfolio accomplishments may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Create and design a broad array of print, digital, social media, and marketing collateral.
• Support evangelization by communicating the Gospel.
• Promote diocesan ministries and events.
• Engage the faithful.
• Collaborate within the Communications team to coordinate messaging and design across channels.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree as described above or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated graphic design proficiency with a strong portfolio of print, digital, branding, and marketing projects.
• Proficiency in design applications including: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Canva, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Creative Clous (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Google, and iPhoto, with the ability to create and edit print and digital materials.
• Comfortable working in both Mac and PC environments, with experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work closely with and maintain strong relationships with staff in all diocesan ministry offices, and resilience in upholding the mission and social teachings of the Roman Catholic faith.
