Brand Design Lead
Job Description
Glossier is looking for a multidisciplinary Senior Brand Designer to join the Creative team in New York, NY (onsite) and help shape the next chapter of the brand across every touchpoint. You’ll partner on 360° campaigns and brand moments, taking ideas from concept through highly crafted execution across digital, print, product, retail, and experiential design.
What you’ll do
- Partner closely with the Director of Campaign & Design to concept and execute 360° campaigns, product launches, collaborations, and key brand moments across digital, print, OOH, retail, experiential, product, and merchandise.
- Translate campaign concepts into cohesive visual identities and scalable design systems that maintain a clear, recognizable point of view across channels.
- Collaborate with Art Direction, Copy, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Retail, Production, and other teams to solve creative challenges and bring work to life.
- Design physical brand expressions that extend Glossier into the physical world, including retail flagships, activations, events, signage, merchandise, mailers + seeding, and other 3D brand touchpoints.
- Apply a strong command of typography, composition, color, image-making, materials, and production details to every project with an exceptional eye for refinement.
- Move smoothly between conceptual thinking and execution, owning work through final production, including mechanicals and production-ready files.
- Build organized working systems in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite so campaigns can scale efficiently across the Creative team.
- Continuously research new materials, technologies, creative tools, workflows, and modes of expression to expand what Glossier’s design can look and feel like.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of design experience, preferably within beauty, fashion, lifestyle, culture, or a creative studio.
- A portfolio showing exceptional brand design and conceptual thinking across multiple mediums, including strong examples of both digital and physical work.
- Experience creating visual identities and design systems across 360° campaigns, including print, digital, mailers, merchandise, retail, and experiential or environmental design.
- A sophisticated understanding of typography, composition, color, image, hierarchy, materials, and visual storytelling.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with a strong grasp of digital and print production workflows.
- Experience collaborating with fabricators, printers, vendors, producers, developers, or other external partners to translate design intent into physical execution.
- Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, including the ability to take an ambiguous brief and turn it into a compelling creative solution.
