Job Description

UI/UX Designer & Developer role in The Aerospace Corporation's Engineering Applications Department, onsite in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Build responsive, accessible, high-performance front-end interfaces with exceptional attention to detail
  • Develop and implement intuitive user experiences for advanced visualization products to enhance data analysis and decision-making processes
  • Partner with developers, engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to align vision and deliver cohesive solutions
  • Foster innovation by staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or related STEM discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience in frontend development
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and modern web frontend frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Demonstrated ability in user research, usability testing, rapid prototyping, and accessibility
  • Proven ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
  • 4+ years of experience frontend development
  • Proven experience in architecting visualization software solutions
  • Leading team discussions and code collaboration to promote continuous progress
  • Participating in client, industry, and end-user discussions to help provide technical viewpoint on the application
  • Experience leading an Agile development team using Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, SourceTree, etc.)

Work Model

  • This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, VA, which requires 100% onsite work
