Senior UI/UX Designer
Job Description
Contact Government Services, LLC is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead end-to-end UX design initiatives for a federal agency support program. This onsite role is based in Dallas, TX, collaborating with engineers and client stakeholders to deliver usable web and mobile interfaces rooted in research and user-centered design principles. The position offers a salary range of USD 120,000 to 200,000 per year and requires a bachelor's degree and at least ten years of combined design experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive UX design initiatives, including research, planning, and assessment of current systems.
- Oversee the planning, design, and rollout of multiple sites and applications across several clients in a fast-paced environment.
- Spearhead all phases of user research and analysis to inform the creation of intuitive web pages, application interfaces, and other dynamic solutions.
- Partner with federal practice engineers and clients to define, design, and deploy innovative, visually appealing, intuitive solutions for the federal user base and stakeholders.
- Develop wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to clearly convey interaction and design concepts for websites and apps.
- Build scalable design resources to support collaboration and the growth of ECS creative services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust.
- Strong UX design experience.
- 10+ years of combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design).
- Robust online portfolio demonstrating research-driven decisions in the design of responsive web and mobile applications.
- Results-focused problem solver with high standards for quality, accuracy, attention to detail, and overall excellence.
- Expertise in user research methodologies, user centered design principles and frameworks, and user interface design standards.
- Advanced understanding of user personas, user flows, affinity mapping, and other research tools.
- Solid grasp of the life cycle process of website development (discovery, planning, design, requirements, coding, testing, and user testing and evaluation).
- Experience evaluating existing systems and processes to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations.
- Experience designing web and mobile applications that are compliant with 508 and US Web Design System (USWDS) standards.
- Experience prioritizing features while accounting for user goals and business requirements.
- Experience carrying designs from start to finish, from wireframes to delivery of final high-fidelity UI mockups.
- Experience establishing and maintaining rapid customer feedback loops to inform design at critical stages.
- Self-starter, motivated, confident and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Success on projects designed from scratch as well as redesigns for established platforms or products.
- Experience mentoring/leading junior designers.
- Advanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, and JS).
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe xD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
