Job Description

Contact Government Services, LLC is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support a major Federal agency’s technical support initiative in Philadelphia. This onsite role leads UX design efforts, research, wireframes, and collaboration with federal engineers and clients to deliver intuitive, effective digital experiences. The position commands a salary range of USD 120,000 to 200,000 per year and requires a Bachelor’s degree along with substantial design experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UX design efforts, including user research, blueprinting, and evaluating existing systems.
  • Oversee planning, design, and implementation of multiple sites and applications for several clients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Spearhead all phases of user research and analysis to inform the creation of highly usable web pages, interfaces, and dynamic solutions.
  • Collaborate with federal practice engineers and federal clients to define, design, and implement innovative, aesthetically pleasing, intuitive solutions for the federal user base and stakeholders.
  • Produce wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to clearly communicate interaction and design concepts for websites and applications.
  • Develop scalable design resources to support project collaboration and the expansion of ECS creative services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Strong UX design background.
  • 10+ years of combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design).
  • Strong online portfolio demonstrating research-driven design decisions for responsive web and mobile applications.
  • Results-oriented problem solver with high standards for quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in user research methodologies, user-centered design principles and frameworks, and UI design standards.
  • Advanced understanding of user personas, user flows, affinity mapping, and related research tools.
  • Thorough grasp of the website development lifecycle (discovery, planning, design, requirements, coding, testing, and user testing/evaluation).
  • Experience evaluating existing systems to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations.
  • Experience designing web and mobile applications that comply with 508 and USWDS standards.
  • Experience prioritizing features to align user goals with business requirements.
  • Experience carrying designs from wireframes through delivery of final high-fidelity UI mockups.
  • Experience establishing rapid customer feedback loops to inform design at critical stages.
  • Self-starter who can work independently or in a team, with a proactive mindset.
  • Proven success on projects developed from scratch as well as redesigns for established platforms or products.
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior designers.
  • Advanced coding knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe xD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
