Part-Time Faculty-Graphic Design

Imperial Valley College welcomes a part-time, temporary instructional faculty member in Graphic Design. Working on site in Imperial, California, the position reports to the Dean and includes teaching, maintaining records, and advising students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned with the college's approved Graphic Design curriculum and established course outlines, as assigned to meet campus needs.
• Assign tasks based on class availability, seniority, and qualifications.
• Lead and conduct classroom sessions.
• Prepare instructional materials and class content.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Develop and manage course syllabi as part of instruction.
• Assess and evaluate student learning outcomes.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Maintain and submit accurate records according to published deadlines, including grades, syllabi, and attendance reports.
• Uphold professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain ongoing competency in the field.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (AB 1725, 87360a).
