Job Description

Design visual work that supports a leading academic community in Bronx, NY (onsite) with a part-time schedule. In this Graphic Design Artist III role, you will create clear, brand-aligned print and digital materials and help ensure final files are production-ready. The position pays an hourly rate in compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act.

Compensation (Hourly): Minimum and maximum listed at $37.80/hr, with the following rates noted: Hiring Rate: $37.80; Post Probationary Rate: $38.33; Job Rate: $39.93.

Responsibilities

  • Design compelling, accessible visual content that supports Albert Einstein College of Medicine
  • Create print and digital materials as directed by the Director of Creative Services and Project Manager, including brochures, postcards, invitations, reports, digital signage, social media assets, infographics, presentations, proposals, and posters
  • Carry out art direction provided by the Director and Lead Graphic Designers
  • Iterate designs based on feedback from clients and colleagues
  • Ensure deliverables reflect the appropriate brand identity
  • Serve as the responsible party for assigned jobs, ensuring timely delivery of final products
  • Manage multiple time-sensitive assignments and meet deadlines and production requirements
  • Work and communicate professionally and collegially with clients and colleagues
  • Prepare final files for both digital and print production
  • Coordinate effectively with print vendors to execute final deliverables
  • Track time accurately in the timekeeping system

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related field, plus at least 2 years experience as a graphic designer with print and digital design experience
  • An appropriate combination of relevant experience and education may be considered
  • Strong knowledge of graphic design fundamentals and awareness of current design trends
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to work on Mac platform
  • Familiarity with Canva and Dropbox
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Highly collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
