Gift Product Designer

burton + BURTON is hiring a Gift Product Designer to shape artwork and design-forward products for the gift industry from concept through production. This onsite role in Bogart, GA focuses on creating and improving designs that are vendor-ready, while keeping pace with evolving market needs and visual trends.

You will manage the end-to-end design process for new products and enhancements to existing ones, partnering with creative and cross-functional teams to translate project goals into clear, production-ready art. Work includes developing design direction, producing accurate artwork boards, and supporting product development with research, mockups, and collaboration across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design process for a product from start to finish, including improvements to existing products.
• Collaborate closely with the Creative Coordinator, Art Coordinator, product managers, and other designers to maintain alignment with project goals.
• Create visual elements such as patterns, color schemes, typography, and icons based on directives and design objectives.
• Develop design specifications and annotations to communicate design decisions clearly to manufacturers.
• Produce precise, accurate, vendor-ready art boards in a timely manner.
• Support product design efforts through visual mockups, basic consumer research, and cross-functional teamwork, applying a strong understanding of design principles.
• Identify market trends through ongoing market research, staying current on design trends and emerging technologies.
• Travel both domestically and internationally.

Requirements

• Submit a portfolio showcasing design skills with the resume (required).
• Demonstrate visual design proficiency, including typography, color theory, composition, and layout design.
• Technical proficiency with Mac (Apple) and Adobe software, including Illustrator and Photo shop.
• Minimum 2 years of experience specializing in an Illustration role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required in Art or Design or another related field.
