Job Description
The Designer II role within Nike Sportswear focuses on Print & Pattern graphic design, producing original seasonal artwork for men’s and women’s apparel, footwear, and tees. You will develop concepts into production-ready designs by connecting creative exploration and research with technically accurate print and pattern execution.
Role Overview
As a Designer II, you will create original seasonal print and pattern artwork and ensure designs can be accurately produced. The work includes translating research insights and visual explorations into feasible, repeatable expressions that support a unified visual voice across each collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original seasonal print and pattern artwork for Nike Sportswear across men’s and women’s apparel, footwear, and tees.
- Develop ideas from research and creative exploration into production-ready execution, supporting energy, relevance, and visual consistency across collections.
- Research art, culture, street style, sport, and print trends to guide explorations aligned with seasonal narratives, creative direction, and consumer needs.
- Produce original artwork using both hand-rendered and digital techniques for men’s and women’s product categories.
- Translate print and pattern concepts onto three-dimensional products and the body using physical and digital tools.
- Prepare production-ready artwork, including accurate repeats and schematics.
- Apply knowledge of print techniques, production methods, and feasibility to address design, application, and manufacturing challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Fine Art or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in print and pattern design, preferably within apparel, footwear, or a related consumer product industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, along with strong drawing, painting, dye, and digital artwork skills.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating original print and pattern design, color theory, repeat techniques, textile processes, and translation onto three-dimensional product.
- Excellent organization, time management, communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Team and Collaboration
This onsite role reports to the Manager of Nike Sportswear Print & Pattern and joins a design team with a collaborative, high-energy environment. The designer works closely with Color, Apparel, Graphic Design, Footwear, Development, and Business teams to bring a unified seasonal narrative to life across product.
