Creative Director
Job Description
Shape a modern, athlete-first visual identity for the LPGA and guide creative output across every platform. This remote Creative Director role reports to the VP, Content & Platforms, leading a creative team and partnering across social, content, partnerships, broadcast, and BI to deliver end-to-end creative strategy that supports fan engagement and global reach.
What you’ll do
- Lead the evolution of the LPGA’s visual identity to reflect a modern, athlete-first, culturally relevant brand.
- Own and direct creative strategy from concept through execution, setting the direction and translating it into production.
- Originate and develop creative concepts for major campaigns and tentpole moments.
- Ensure consistency of brand expression across all platforms, balancing design systems with campaign needs.
- Partner cross-functionally across social, content, partnerships, broadcast, and BI teams to align creative with audience, insights, and programming goals.
- Translate cultural moments and fan insights into proactive creative strategies.
- Oversee workflows and production pipelines, guiding team output and maintaining efficient delivery.
- Direct art direction for video, photography, and design across campaign work.
- Manage vendors, agencies, and freelancers to support timelines and quality standards.
- Oversee print production and quality control.
- Integrate AI and emerging tools into creative workflows.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Creative Direction, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience in creative, design, or brand roles, including 3–5+ years leading teams.
- Proven ability to concept and lead breakthrough campaigns, not just execute briefs.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across digital, social, video, and brand systems.
- Experience leading cross-functional creative initiatives across content, partnerships, and media teams.
- Deep understanding of cultural trends, fandom, and storytelling in sports, media, or entertainment.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling creative teams and workflows.
- Fluency in modern creative tools, including Adobe Creative Suite; motion/video tools (Premiere, After Effects) preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools and emerging technologies impacting design and content creation.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in sports, entertainment, or agency environments preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and events as needed.
