Job Description

The Senior Graphic Designer will shape footwear graphic design across American Football, Baseball, and Cricket, using athlete and market insights to develop graphics, typography, prints, and logos that progress from concept to production. This onsite role is based in Beaverton, OR, United States.

What You’ll Do

Drive footwear collections that push the boundaries of sport, storytelling, and innovation.
Execute a collaborative vision that aligns Nike and athlete insights across American Football, Baseball, and Cricket.
Translate authentic insights through a visual center that includes graphics, typography, prints on footwear shell patterns, and logos, using modern executions for major sports stages.
Contribute to the creative vision through design development and idea contribution.
Lead team meetings and communicate critical information to keep design work moving.
Ensure design progress and meet deadlines.
Present design concepts and seasonal initiatives to internal and external audiences while protecting Nike’s best interests.
Apply a strong understanding of culture and trends as part of the design approach.

Who You’ll Work With

Report to a CMG Senior Manager and partner with material, color, and footwear design, along with cross-functional teammates and external partners.
Work in a collaborative environment with the opportunity to engage directly with Athletes and Teams to bring a diverse vision to life.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
5+ years of relevant work experience in Graphic Design, Color Design, or Product Design.
A well curated portfolio demonstrating a strong methodology across research, inspiration, design development, problem solving, process, and final execution.
Strong sketching, illustration, typography, brand identity, and color theory skills.
Digital design software proficiency, including a high degree of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (must). Adobe InDesign, Keynote, and Adobe Photoshop are a plus. Openness to working in a new digital space.
Deep understanding of make and manufacturing processes.
Commitment to sports connections and current emerging cultural design trends.
Knowledge of apparel creation including ideation, development, specification, and final executions, balancing innovation, performance, and style.
Proven ability to inspire and drive creative direction through production execution.
Collaborative spirit and flexibility to manage multiple projects and work with internal and external partners and cross-functional teams efficiently.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
