Route is hiring a Product Designer in Salt Lake City, UT (onsite) to shape brand and product experiences across its B2B and B2C suite.

Design execution for omni-channel communications and marketing touchpoints, including email, web, and in-app messaging
UI design for merchant and shopper-facing experiences across Route’s product suite
Design system ownership by maintaining and scaling UI patterns and systems
Brand guidelines creation and maintenance for consistency, clarity, and effective application across stakeholders and apps
Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure accurate implementation across products, presentations, and other experiences
Accessibility & inclusion focus to deliver experiences that are accessible, inclusive, and human-centered
Storytelling contributions through motion, illustration, or investor-facing visuals as needed
Continuous improvement via design reviews, QA, and experiments

5+ years of experience in product and brand design (agency and/or in-house)
Online portfolio showing strong visual design, design systems, communications design, motion, and digital product work
Figma expertise including variables, auto layout, components, prototyping, AI agent, and design token structures
Messaging experience with email, web, and in-product messaging plus understanding of medium-specific best practices
Front-end literacy with responsive web concepts and knowledge of HTML, CSS, motion design, and WCAG accessibility standards
Communication with ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment

Salary range for this role: USD 158,000 - 194,000 per year
National: $158,000 - $167,000
Los Angeles / Orange County: $172,000 - $182,000
San Francisco Bay Area: $181,000 - $191,000
New York: $183,000 - $194,000
Cash compensation above includes base salary and may not reflect potential commission (eligible roles) or annual bonus targets under Route’s bonus plan
All Route employees are eligible to participate in Route’s equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement
Some roles may be eligible for overtime pay
Individual compensation packages vary based on career level, skills, experience, geographic location qualifications, and other job-related factors

Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Firefly, After Effects, Premiere) or Cinema4D, Lottie, Framer
Understanding of lifestyle, fashion, and sports branding trends
Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or shopping platforms like Shopify
Experience with illustration, motion, and visual storytelling

Craft innovative brand and product design solutions for Route’s suite of B2B and B2C products: Package Protection, Package Tracking, Returns
Partner with the Design Director to shape Route’s visual identity across products, marketing, sales materials, and prototypes
Hands-on role balancing deep craft with modern workflows, using AI tools to accelerate exploration, and building systems to guide growing teams

Focus on meaningful, user-facing experiences that reach millions of shoppers and top-tier brands
Operate with high autonomy, low ego, and strong cross-functional alignment
Design has a seat at the table, with collaboration to push great ideas forward
