Senior Motion Designer

Senior Motion Designer in Bumble Inc.'s Creative Studio leads motion design across global brands and helps establish motion guidelines while collaborating with a cross-functional, globally distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Lead motion design and animation for Bumble's diverse brands across social, digital, campaigns, and marketing work worldwide.
• Own complex briefs from concept through delivery, delivering on-brand, high-quality motion that meets standards of excellence.
• Collaborate with designers, art directors, copywriters and other creatives to produce cohesive work across brands.
• Contribute actively in brainstorming and concepting sessions, bringing strong ideas and a distinct motion perspective.
• Develop and formalize motion guidelines to enable global consistency and empower teams and agency partners to execute at a high level.
• Work with agency partners globally, serving as the primary motion point of contact for campaigns to ensure consistent look and feel.
• Present work to key stakeholders, clearly explaining motion design decisions and their ties to briefs and brand objectives.
• Uphold Bumble Inc.'s brand standards across markets and touchpoints with consistent quality.
• Oversee freelancers and agency partners in video editing and post-production when required, ensuring quality and efficient delivery workflows.
• Manage workload effectively, flagging resource or timeline considerations proactively.
• Stay ahead of motion design trends, tools, and technology, bringing fresh thinking and relevant references to the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of motion design experience, preferably in the tech sector.
• Expert command of After Effects and Figma; comfortable exploring Cavalry, Jitter, and AI-powered motion tools.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design thinking, craft, and versatile animation across digital, social, and campaigns.
• Experience developing or contributing to motion guidelines and scalable motion systems for global brands.
• Positive, can-do attitude with flexibility to solve complex problems and deliver elegant motion solutions.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to discover solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; confident presenting creative decisions to stakeholders.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple briefs and tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure on-brand communication.
• Solid video editing and post-production skills; able to oversee delivery workflows when required.
• Understanding of audio editing and sound design is a bonus.
• Cinema 4D experience is a bonus.
• Passion for Bumble's brand vision and values.

Compensation

• Salary: USD 110,000 - 150,000 per year
